Oh, for sure. I would've lit some incense and scattered some rose petals, but the store was out.

( Her sigh is tragic, melodramatic even with the very real regret and pain weighing at her. )

'Fraid this'll have to do.

[coppelganger]

[ Sarah settles onto the blankets and kicks her boots off, making herself at home. She nods toward Alex, questioning. ]

So how's the whiskey?

[periastron]

( On closer inspection, she might notice a cut across Alex's brow, what looks like a downward slash that's caught her cheekbone and her jaw, and part of her face is bruised. )

Yeah, tops. Really good.

( Another swig, and she winces from how fucking awful it tastes, before holding the bottle out to Sarah. ) Fantastic. You won't regret it.

[coppelganger]

[ Sarah accepts the bottle and takes a drink, making a face at the taste. ] I'm hoping this is the cheap shite.

[ Still, she takes another drink and leans back, relaxing into a pillow. Only when she's finished and handing the bottle back to Alex does she say, ] What happened to your face?

[periastron]

Yeah. I thought if we had enough of it, the expensive stuff would blow our minds.

( A little smile, kind of crooked. )

Remember that run -in you had with a darkspawn on an assignment?

( Alex's mouth wavers for a second and she looks down. )

A whole bunch of darkspawn, uh— killed and hung up and ate a group of people running from the war that we were trying to help.

( She holds her hand out for the bottle. ) It was fucked up.

[coppelganger]

[ Sarah says nothing. What can she possibly say to that? Shit. She's seen a lot of fucked up things since she discovered she's a clone, but monsters hanging up and eating a group of innocent people? She hands the bottle back, wordlessly. ]

[periastron]

And,

( she continues, a bit bewildered, )

a giant fuck-off bear came to my rescue. Literally a giant-bear. Bear giant.

( brb chugging some whiskey )

[coppelganger]

Giant bear, right.

[ She's not going to argue, even though it does sound stupid as fuck. ]

[periastron]

No, I mean it! He's this big bear that Cosima and Newt and Val and I helped. I think he remembered and came to rescue me.

( Wow, she's realising how insane it sounds as she says it. )
