[ She shakes her head, but she's smiling. It'll be a nice thing, she thinks. Especially because who the hell knows if, back home, Cosima will ever get something like this. ]

I know. I know I didn't- [Clara pauses, taking in a slow breath. She's starting to sound far too flustered for her own dignity.] I just wanted to make sure. She deserves the best, and I needed to know that I was good enough.

[ Sarah's voice is gentler now, less incredulous. ]
