[George wakes up about ten minutes later to noise in the kitchen. Reaching over to the other side of the bed, he finds only thrown-back sheets and phantom warmth, and he doesn't know at first if he's disappointed. His self-conscious thoughts tell him that she regrets last night - she's changed her mind, and she doesn't want to be his girlfriend. But he's been with her long enough to know that he needs to just trust her on this. Give her time to get used to it. She's dated a lot of "arseholes", she said it herself. Maybe she's afraid.
He gets out of bed and pulls back on his jeans and undershirt, before heading to the kitchen. When he sees her at the table, he smiles warmly.]
